National Party Leader Mir Hasil Bizinjo passes away
- Bizinjo was battling lung cancer for one year and will be buried in his hometown Khuzdar
(Karachi) National Party President Mir Hasil Khan Bizinjo passed away in Karachi, media has reported. Bizinjo was suffering from cancer for some time.
As per details, the National Party leader was battling lung cancer for one year. According to his family, Bizinjo will be buried on Friday (tomorrow) in his hometown Khuzdar.
Mir Hasil Khan Bizinjo was a senior politician. He started his political career after getting elected Member of National Assembly in 1990 general election. He was re-elected as a Member of National Assembly in 1997 polls on the ticket of Balochistan National Party.
Later, he founded Balochistan National Democratic Party, which merged with Baloch National Movement and as the result of this merger National Party was founded. He was elected president of National Party in 2014.
He was an elected member of the Senate since 2009 and also served as Minister for Maritime Affairs during Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz rule from August 2017 to May 2018.
