CM to inaugurate modern slaughter house

Published Updated

imanmnmnmLAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate a modern slaughterhouse here on December 25.

Sources in Punjab Agriculture Meat Company said on Friday that Lahore Meat Processing Complex had a capacity of slaughtering 1,000 big and 1,200 small animals a day besides the facility of refrigeration, chilling, blast freezing and cold storage.

The complex was completed in 11 months and machinery was imported from the Netherlands and Turkey.

It is a joint project of PAMC and Mushaid Meat Industrial Complex Iran. The project will not only fulfill domestic needs of disease-free meat but also export to earn foreign exchange.
