KARACHI: Pakistan's General Tyre and Rubber Company Limited comes up with new initiatives to become the leader in tyre technology through quality improvement, competitive prices, customers' satisfaction and meeting social obligations.

Based in Karachi, the company was started in 1963. It manufactured tyres and tubes for automobiles and motorcycles/rickshaw, radial tyres for passenger cars and light trucks, and bias tyres for light trucks, buses and agricultural tractors, said Chief Executive of the company, Hussain Kuli Khan in a statement here on Wednesday.

Forbes Magazine has rated General Tyre amongst Asia's 200 best companies. There are only seven companies from Pakistan on that list.

"It gives me great pleasure, General Tyre has been included in Asia's 200 best companies. This is indeed a great honour for our company," he said.

Kuli Khan acknowledged that it would not have been possible to achieve this distinction without the unwavering support and cooperation of our Board of Directors.
