ISLAMABAD: Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan Thursday said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership was least interested in matters of public interest but targeting Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif only.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said PTI abused the Parliament many times including during sit-in at D-Chowk.
He said PTI had a history of maligning the institutions of the country which was not a positive culture being promoted.
The minister said, being political workers, we should refrain of giving unethical remarks against others.
He said PTI only respected the institutions when they give decision in their favour, otherwise its leadership start criticising the latter.
Khurram Dastgir said, during the proceedings of the Panama Papers case, PTI had failed to present any evidence against the Prime Minister in the court.
He said PTI should demonstrate respect and trust in the Parliament, judiciary and other institutions.
Replying to a question, the minister said the government was keen for legislation on all affairs of public interest, however, the opposition should also play its role in this regard.
