imageD. I. KHAN: The government is successfully materializing its plan to complete western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) within stipulated period and has accelerated pace of construction work on Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan motorway.

The project director Faridullah Khan who looks after 54-kilometer long Yarik (DI Khan) to Rehmani Khel portion of Hakla-DI Khan motorway said here Tuesday that construction work on the particular segment was in progress in full swing and everything was going ahead according to plan and expectations.

Thus, the official said one could conveniently say the portion under his supervision would be completed by June 2018, providing people a route to have safe journey on it with enjoying state-of-the-art facilities all along and reach in less time, comparatively to their destinations.

The official said with construction of the route, people of area would have access to modern facilities of life, in addition to having vast opportunities to get jobs to earn livelihood in a respectable manner.

Moreover, he said availability of route would herald availability of high-speed transportation that would ultimately pave way for improvement in health and education sectors as well besides enabling the local growers and produces to easily take their good to big markets.

He said the CPEC would promote trade ties with neighbouring countries Central Asian States and South Asian countries, which would ultimately prepare the ground to make Pakistan a trade hub in this whole region.

He said CPEC project involved billions of dollars worth development schemes and would bring prosperity not only for the two countries but for the region as well, adding this mega project would create job opportunities and the country would move ahead on the path of progress and development.

He was of the view that CPEC would link the backward areas of the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the rest of the country and bring prosperity in the two provinces.

However, he added, conducive economic environment was also vital to bring foreign investment in the country.

According to sources, Hakla-DIKhan motorway while passing through Pindi Ghep, Sawan, Mianwali, Rokhri, Rehmani Khel, the Motorway would terminate at Yarik area in district DI Khan.

The alignment of motorway passes through developing areas and its construction would generate new employment opportunities.

The sources said rehabilitation of DI Khan-Mughalkot section of N-50 would be completed by 2018. Moreover the dualization of 531 km long DI Khan to Kuchlak section of N-50 would be operational by 2020.
