HYDERABAD: The Management of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has imposed penalties on more than two hundred officers including retrenchment from job. The penalties were imposed after completion of departmental inquiries.
The Chief Commercial Officer, HESCO, Saeed Ahmad Dawach informed here on Tuesday that after completion of departmental inquiries, the management has retrenched five Sub-Divisional Officers included Tahir Habib, Aijaz Shaikh, Abdul Ghani Patoli, Azhar Jatoi and Umer Farooq. The management has also reverted four Sub-Divisional Officers namely Naimatullah Saand, Ghulam Nabi Khaskheli, Niaz Lashari and Rafique Arain, he added.
Besides, he informed that penalties have also been imposed upon 200 other employees including three Commercial Assistants, four Meter Supervisors, 38 meter Readers, six Line Superintendents and 30 Linemen who were discharging duties in Hyderabad, Thatta, Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin, Jamshoro and Shaheed Benazirabad districts.
Saeed Ahmed Dawach informed that on the directives of Chief Executive Officer HESCO Akhtar Ali Randhawa, the NAB has issued notices to 22 thousands defaulters of HESCO who have liabilities of over Rs.4 billion.
These defaulters have been asked to deposit outstanding dues of HESCO, he added.
