PESCO nab 10 persons on illegal use of electricity

imagePESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) SDO Warasak 1 Sub division taking action against illegal electricity connection, on Tuesday apprehended 10 persons while using direct hooks.

The PESCO detection team conducted surprise visit to different areas of Mulazai, Lakarai and Ghari Zahir and removed 70 direct hooks and registered FIRs against the arrested persons including Sahib ur Rehman, Bilal, Safdar, Nazir, Khilafatullah, Jamshid Tahir, Sharafat, Rifat Adil and Nadeem. Meanwhile an amount of Rs.175000 was also recovered from defaulters, PESCO spokesman said.

He said that as per the directives of PESCO chief the drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks would continue.
