ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Petroleum on Wednesday decided to slash spans of gas load shedding at CNG stations in Punjab and Potohar regions to two days.

According to the settlement between Petroleum Ministry and CNG Association, the duration of load shedding would whittle down to two days from next week.
According to the Petroleum Ministry officials, the load shedding span cannot be further narrowed down thanks to the scarcity of gas.
Moreover, the officials said written assurance were being given to CNG Association that Petroleum Levy would not be imposed and CNG prices would be pegged at 47 percent below petrol.
Meantime, a special committee will be set up for the resolution of issues facing CNG sector.
It should be mentioned here that CNG Association had previously announced to go on strike from August 24 for unspecified period.
