Vietnam to auction 2tn dong govt bonds on Aug 18

vietnam-state-bondHANOI: Vietnam's State Treasury will auction 2 trillion dong ($96 million) of government bonds at the Hanoi Stock Exchange this week, the exchange said.

The treasury will sell 1 trillion dong each of three-year and five-year bonds on Thursday, the exchange said in a statement.

In the last auction on Aug. 11, the treasury sold 200 billion dong of three-year bonds with a yield of 12.4 percent and 300 billion dong of five-year debt with a yield of 12.50 percent.

Between January and Aug. 11, the State Treasury raised 45.23 trillion dong ($2.18 billion), versus 15.22 trillion dong in the same period last year, exchange data showed.
