Beyonce verified account on video sharing site Vine has been identified as fake. The account has massive viewership on a single video uploaded there but it has been suspended on authenticity claims.
According to media reports, a verified Beyoncé account created on Vine four days ago appears to be a fake. The account, which had racked up only around 40,000 views of the single video posted to it, the same one she posted on her Instagram account was suspended early Sunday afternoon.
Founded in June 2012, it was acquired by microblogging website Twitter just prior to its official launch. The service allows users to record and edit video clips and to ‘revine’ or share others posts with followers.
The video sharing site gave fake account a ‘green badge’ which represents verified account used by the artists themselves. But there’s some serious loophole in their verification process which needs to be fixed.
