"We are planning to run more than six trains on Eid-ul-Fitr this year and schedule for which will be announced soon," a senior official in the Ministry of Railways told APP on Wednesday.

He said last year Pakistan Railways had run four special Eid trains to facilitate the passengers who belong to far flung areas and wanted to celebrate Eid with their beloved ones.

The Ministry had announced to run six special trains on the directive of Railways' Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique. These trains were scheduled to run between Karachi and Rawalpind, Karachi and Lahore, Quetta and Rawalpindi and Lahore and Peshawar.
