Zarghoon gas field to start supply from July

QUETTA: Zarghoon Gas Field will start supplying natural gas to the provincial capital from month of July this year.

Officials said on Monday that two of three wells of Zarghoon South Gas Field were completed and they would start supplying natural gas to Quetta city from July.

"Three gas wells were constructed in Zarghoon South Gas Field at the cost of Rs 40 million, of them, two were ready to start functioning," said Brig Saleem Mehmood (Retd), General Manager, Mari Gas Petroleum.

He said that gas reserves in Zarghoon field area were enough to cater need of natural gas of the metropolis and other areas for next 15 years.

He said that 15 platoon of Frontier Corps were deployed for security of Zarghoon South Gas Field.
