According to the Press Trust of India Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Meera Chopra has hit back at Parineeti Chopra’s comments that she is not a close family member.
Meera called her comments “stupid” saying the three cousins shared their childhood together.
The 30-year-old actress further said she has always been close to Priyanka, while she shares no emotional bond with Parineeti.
The Press Trust of India quoted Meera as saying, “We all have been brought up together 20 years ago. We used to stay together. All brothers were close to each other before they split and brought up in different cities. Parineeti is young, Priyanka and I are of same age.. We are close.”
“When she (Parineeti) talks like that… I think it is stupid… Why would you talk like that. It doesn’t disturb me as I don’t have any emotional connect with her. I don’t remember the time spent with her.”
Meera will make her Bollywood debut with Satish Kaushik’s ‘Gang of Ghosts’ which is slated to release on March 21st, 2014. The film will also feature Sharman Joshi, Parambrata Chatterjee, Mahi Gill and Anupam Kher.
