Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively.

Meanwhile two more ships carrying cement and also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last.

Berth occupancy was 35% the port on Wednesday where four ships namely Safmarine Ngami, Sudair, Maersk Kolkata and Chemroad Wing are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 85357 tonnes comprising 44617 tonnes imports and 40740 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3617 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
