Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: A ship carrying chemical was berthed at Multi Purpose Terminal on Sunday.

Meanwhile five more ships carrying containers, cement, wheat and iron ore are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Monday where total six ships namely Hansa Africa, Mandarin Handong, Atlantic Glory, Dalian Star-D, Glory Ocean and Al Soor II are currently occupying berths to load/offload, containers, cement, chemical, rice and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 57759 tonnes comprising 36351 tonnes imports and 21408 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 862 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last hours.
