MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday stressed the need for bringing about basic changes in the current system to raise the living standard of people belonging to poor and middle class segments of society.
Addressing a ceremony organized here at the residence of PTI leader Khalid Javed Warriach, he hailed the Supreme Court's verdict on LPG quota case and taking action against former PM Raja Pervez Musharraf and other responsible persons.
He termed the decision a victory of truth which would carry blissful effect at every sphere of life.
He claimed that PTI had first of all raised voice for such misappropriation of money among legislatures, calling it an unlawful act in the past. He alleged that former PM had distributed about Rs 52 billion among former parliamentarians that caused huge loss to the national exchequer.
Qureshi called for disclosing names of beneficiaries of the quota. He urged the government to reduce tax burden on masses by announcing some relief plan.
