PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Mattani sub division has disconnected power supply to majority of the areas of 11-KV Old Azakhel feeder, which is consisting of about 250 different categories distribution transformers due to non-payment of Rs 25 million.
Similarly SDO Pesco, Lala sub division held an Open Katchery at Sardar Ghari to redress consumers' complaints and to recover the outstanding dues. On this occasion, an amount of Rs 0.2 million were also recovered from defaulters while in Swat Circle power supply was disconnected to Said Jalal and Azim Khan villages from two distribution transformers of 50-KV, while FIRs have also been lodged in the concerned police stations due to direct hooks.
Defaulters have been strongly warned to deposit their dues. Otherwise their power supply will not be restored. The massive illegal use of electricity was severely over loading the power supply system and was causing frequent power breakdowns.
On the other hand, the defaulters have also been warned of initiating strict legal action against them. They have been directed to make payment of their outstanding dues with immediate effect. Otherwise their power supply will be disconnected without further notice and will not be restored until the payment of dues.
