KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, furnace oil and chemicals were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Tuesday last.
Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Wednesday where total seven ships namely Hanjin Malta, Sealand Michigan, Nysted Maersk, Zhong Da You, Theofy Laktos, Norgas Petaluma and M.T Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil, rape seed, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 111013 tonnes comprising 83356 tonnes imports and 27657 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2566 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
