KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, cement and chemical were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Sunday.
Meanwhile five more ships carrying containers, wheat, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 45% at the Port on Monday where a total five ships namely Maersk Checago, Aoyama, Ikan Salmon, Aviona and As Ophelia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat and chemical respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 39159 tonnes comprising 33027 tonnes imports and 6132 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 728 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
