KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and edible oil were allotted berth at Qasim International and LCT Terminals respectively during the last 24 hours, port sources said here Wednesday.
Four more ships scheduled to load/ offload containers, rice and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Wednesday where total number of seven ships namely MV. Sealand Newyork, Phutai-19, Styliani, Faith, Stadt Solingen, Inlaco Brave and Bunga Allium are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, rice, cement, sand crush and edible oil.
A cargo volume of 65894 tonnes comprising 29192 tonnes imports and 36702 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1946 containers (Boxes) was handle at the Port during last 24 hours, port sources further said.
