KARACHI: Four ships carrying rice, cement, chemical and edible oil were allocated berth at FAP, Multi Purpose, EVTL and LCT Terminals respectively during last 24 hours, port sources said here Monday.
Five more ships scheduled to load/ offload containers, sand, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Monday where total number of six ships namely M.V Phutai-19, Styliani, Faith, Stadt Solingen, Argent Hiriscus and Citron are currently occupying berths to load/ offload rice, cement, chemical and edible oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 19234 tonnes comprising 14336 tonnes imports and 4898 tonnes exports were handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
