KARACHI: Jennifer Lopez, who was earlier confirmed to star alongside Bollywood big-shots Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, at the opening ceremony of this year’s Indian Premier League, has been dropped from the act following her extraordinary demands.
Her entourage members, including stylists, assistants and a personal chef, were too extensive. Reportedly, her manager Benny Medina even requested organizers for a private jet for the singer, and asked them to foot the hotel bill for her entire entourage.
So, the Pepsi IPL 6 team allegedly dropped her and replaced the superstar with the rapper Pitbull, who recently launched an album titled “Global Warming.”
However; representatives for the former “American Idol” judge claim she was not dropped but herself chose not to appear since she was too busy recording for an album due to release later this summer.
Yet, this isn’t the first time celebrity’s demands have been bewildering. Allegedly, Katy Perry demanded a glass-door refrigerator once while Kanye requested Versace towels and Mariah Carey asked for kittens and doves.
We’re not sure whether to feel sorry for J. Lo for missing out on an opportunity which is like the Indian version of the Super Bowl, or for her fans who had been eagerly awaiting her performance.
