KARACHI: Four ships arrived at Port Qasim to load/offload containers at QICT, palm oil at LCT, chemical at EVTL, cement at MW-3 on Friday, port sources said here Saturday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 79 percent at the port on Friday where a total of eleven ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey- Powership, M.V Kuksa-N, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.V Lantau Arrow, M.V Msclenvina, M.V NYK Kai, M.T Lahore, M.T Fair Chem Steed, M.T Variety, M.V Mercy Wisdom, M.V Maori Maiden are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, palm oil, cement, wheat, furnace oil, chemical, rice.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the port where a cargo volume 110662 tonnes comprising 66685 tonnes import, 43977 tonnes export and (3185) TUEs was handled during the last 24 hours.
M.V NYK Kai sailed on Friday night, M.T Lahore, M.T Fair Chem Steed sailed on Saturday morning.
M.T Chem Road Dita at EVTL, M.T Global Challenge at LCT arrived on Saturday.
