KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers were allotted berth at Qasim International containers terminal during last 24 hours, port sources said here Friday.
Six more ships scheduled to load/ offload wheat, chemical, iron ore, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Friday where total number of eight ships namely Kerstin-S, CGM Eiffle, MSC Didem, Mighty Ocean, Sea Gull-D, Asian Express, Global Peace and Bunga Aster are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, cement and edible oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 71401 tonnes comprising 51999 tonnes imports and 19402 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2280 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during the last 24 hours.
