LONDON: The pound rose to a 2-week high against a trade-weighted basket of currencies on Friday helped by its gains the euro and dollar.
Sterling's trade-weighted index rose to 81.3, its highest since January 24.
The rise came as the British currency touched a two-week high against the euro. The index saw its biggest percentage gain since October 2011 on Thursday.
