ISLAMABAD: Leader of the opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah Tuesday said that he had not yet consulted his party leadership about the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister.

In a statement issued here, he said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would consider the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister in the  presence of Chairman and Co chairman Pakistan Peoples Party  Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari respectively.

He said efforts were underway to appoint neutral caretaker Prime Minister, having no affiliation with any political party. Indeed each person has party affiliation, but he must not be an office bearer of any political party.

He said the caretaker Prime Minister having any position or office in any political party would not be appointed as caretaker prime minister. The caretaker PM must have experience of working at any executive post in any administration.

He said a renowned and experienced personality would preferably be considered for appointment as Prime Minister. He hoped that the government and opposition would agree on appointing a consensus caretaker Prime Minister.
