China to gift 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses to Nepal

In March, China provided 800,000 doses of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine to Nepal, which also received a million shots of the AstraZeneca vaccine as gift from India.
Nepal began its vaccination drive in January but the campaign has been suspended because of the lack of vaccines after New Delhi said it was unable to provide additional shots due to its domestic needs.

Sweden to donate at least 3 million vaccine doses to COVAX in 2021

"In this way Sweden contributes to more than our share of the EU's target of donating at least 100 million doses to low- and middle income countries in 2021," the government said in the statement.
Sweden said earlier in May it would donate 1 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to COVAX.

"Today Pakistan received its first shipment of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines (SII-AZ AZD1222) from the COVAX Facility," it said.
COVAX, a global programme to provide vaccines mainly for poor countries, has recently been hit by supply problems.

Pakistan expects 1.23 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine on 8th May

Pakistan’s health officials have confirmed to CNN that a shipment of 1.23 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are expected to arrive on the 8th of May.
Pakistan was supposed to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine doses by February this year, however, the supply got delayed after India diverted the supplies to meet domestic needs.

Over the weekend, the health ministry announced that 30% fewer vaccines had been received between January and April than expected. Queiroga said the Covax facility, an international cooperation to assist countries secure vaccines, had moved up the expected delivery of 2 million doses to May.

Argentina restarts talks with Pfizer into buying its coronavirus vaccine

The government had talked with Pfizer last year about the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines but the two sides did not reach a deal on supply of the vaccine it developed with German partner BioNTech SE.
Argentina is distributing Russia's Sputnik V vaccine as well as doses from China's Sinopharm, the Serum Institute of India, and the UN-led COVAX program.

Venezuela could start receiving COVAX vaccines in May, Guaido advisor says
