Mian Iftikhar condemns terrorist activity in Risalpur

risal-PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, while strongly condemning the terrorist activity in Risalpur Cantt, Nowshera Tuesday expressed government resolve to wipe out terrorists from the area and restore peace.

 

"The backbone of the terrorists has been broken, their local manpower has exhausted and they are using foreign elements for their activities as their last resort. We will fight them till their elimination and peace will soon prevail," he added.

 

Talking to media men during his visit to the spot of terrorist activity in Risalpur Cantt, he termed the terrorists as evil forces, adding that these forces were indiscriminately targeting all types of people and places including, women, children, security forces, the general public, schools, markets and even Ulema and mosques.

 

He said the government, nation and the security agencies are not to be demoralized or afraid of these cowardly activities of the evil forces rather the whole we are determined to wipe out terrorists for the sake of motherland even at the cost of our lives. Responding to questions regarding the consecutive incidents of terrorism in Peshawar and vicinity, Mian Iftikhar said though the terrorists were making to reach their targets but the law enforcing agencies continuously foiling their attempts.

 

He said that during the last seven months about five hundred such attempts have been foiled by the security agencies for which they really deserve appreciation.

 

To another query, the Provincial Minister was of the view that the general elections should not be delayed at any cast and be held on its stipulated time.    He urged the general masses to be united and support the government and law enforcing agencies against the terrorists so that they could be eliminated once for all. He sympathized with the injured people and prayed for their early recovery.
