SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were down 0.18 percent in early trade Thursday after a nearly three percent rise in the previous session, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 3.73 points to 2,028.18. It had closed up 2.87 percent on Wednesday on bargain hunting after the market touched a near four-year low earlier this week.
