Asian physical rubber prices higher

Published Updated

BANGKOK: Asian physical rubber prices were higher on Monday, tracking rises in raw material prices (USS3), which went up because of tight supply and the prospect of Thai government intervention, dealers said.

The government of Thailand, the world's biggest producer, said last week it would do all it could to keep the price of the raw material grade rubber sheet US $3 above 120 baht per kg.

It pushed above that level at the end of last week.
