Rs5 mln for press club's renovation

RAHIM YAR: Chairman National Assembly's Standing Committee on Food and Agriculture,Javaid Iqbal Warraich has said that an amount of Rs 5 million meant for renovation of press club here has been released.

While talking to a delegation of PPP workers here on Tuesday he further said that a cheque of Rs 1.1 million has been awarded to the photographers for purchasing cameras.

The Chairman said that the Prime Minister has issued directions for awarding status of university to Khawaja Farid Government College, besides construction of a fly-over in the area.

He said that work on these projects would be initiated soon. He added that rehabilitation work in flood-affected areas was in progress at a brisk pace.
