LONDON: Ten-year Spanish and Italian government bond yields hit session lows on Thursday after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said the central bank was ready to do whatever it takes to preserve the euro.
Italian yields were 17 basis points lower at 6.28 percent, with the Spanish equivalent down 10 basis points at 7.29 percent.
German Bund futures extended losses to the day's low of 144.27, down 42 ticks on the day.
