electric power 400ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain on Tuesday said all available resources were being made to overcome energy crises.

Talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), he said in the last meeting on Saturday, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf had advised to provide 28000 metric ton furnace oil for electricity generation.

Dr. Asim said supply of furnace oil was being ensured on PM's directives and provision of funds was the responsibility of the Finance Ministry.

He said the generation capacity had improved upto 12,600 MW from 9,000 MW and hoped that the generation capacity would rise upto 14,000 MW in coming days.

The power generation capacity could be increased up to 16,000 MW by increasing oil supply, he added.

The petroleum prices should be reviewed after 7 days instead of 14 days, the minister also said.
