Brazil ready to invest in energy sector of Pakistan

 RAWALPINDI: Brazil intends to invest in the energy sector of Pakistan and is willing to extend cooperation to invest in Biofuel and Ethnol aimed at meeting with the present energy crisis.

These views were expressed by Ambassador of Brazil to Pakistan, Alfredo Laoni during his visit to Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here on Wednesday.

The Ambassador said that Brazil is ready to help the traders community and industrialists.

On this occasion, President of RCCI S Ali Raza Saeed, Senior Vice President Mian Muhammad Atique, Vice President Dr Shumail Dawood and the members were also present on the occasion.

The Ambassador said that Brazil is ready to help the traders community and industrialists and added, his country was the third largest sugar producing country in the world.

He assured that every possible help will be made to facilitate Pakistan to overcome the shortage of sugar.

Alfredo Laoni emphasised that Pakistan and Brazil should cooperate each other for the promotion of trade and business.

He said that Brazil is ready to invest in energy sector which is the need of the hour as Pakistan has hit energy crisis recently.

President of the RCCI said that trade volume between the two countries is 170$ million that is very low.

He said that both the countries should enhance their trade hoping that their cordial and economic relations will further strengthen in future.
