The national airline canceled all further flights to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) after Dubai authorities refused to permit PIA aircrafts to land, it was learned on Thursday.

As per details, PIA flights left from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad with passengers, but when they arrived in Dubai, the authorities refused to allow PIA aircrafts to land, and the planes continued to spin in the skies.

The PIA station manager informed the authorities of the situation in Pakistan, who immediately contacted the authorities in Dubai, after which the three planes were allowed to land.

The PIA was instructed by Dubai authorities that the national airline could send empty planes to Dubai to take their Pakistani passengers back from Dubai. On the other hand, PIA has canceled all flights to Dubai after the matter and passengers will be informed in this regard.

It may be mentioned here that the UAE has temporarily suspended the entry of all valid visa holders who are out of the country amid the coronavirus pandemic. The ban comes in effect from today (Thursday) onwards and will be effective till the first week of April, (i.e. a period of two weeks).
