Deepika Padukone becomes first Indian actor to represent Louis Vuitton

• The 34-year old Bollywood actor took to Instagram to announce the association.

Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton has chosen Deepika Padukone as their new face for their latest pre-fall collection. Deepika is the first Indian actor to join the French fashion house. The 34-year old actor took to Instagram to announce the association.

“I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Louis Vuitton family! To be a part of Nicholas Ghesquière's vision for the world’s most iconic brand is not only exciting but also very humbling,” she wrote.

Dressed in a checkered black and white midi dress, Deepika posed for the camera for the campaign shoot. She paired the dress with a grey overcoat, mini belt bag from the brand and a pair of green quilted boots.

The news was also announced by Nicolas Ghesquière, a French fashion designer, who has been the creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton since 2013.

Earlier, there has been reports that Deepika's future brand endorsements will suffer after she showed her support to the Muslims in India. However, with this latest achievement, seems like Deepika's global recognition won't get affected in any case.
