The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) Lahore adopted paperless Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), which was inaugurated by Punjab Housing Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed here on Friday.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Wasa Vice-Chairman Shiekh Imtiaz Mehmood, Wasa Managing Director Lahore Syed Zahid Aziz and other officials.
Talking on the occasion, the Minister said that it is the government's top priority to incorporate modern information technology system to maximize transparency and effectiveness in public sector organizations. "We will make WASA Lahore a benchmark among all water utility providers in the country," he said.
Wasa Vice Chairman Shiekh Imtiaz Mehmood said that the paperless system enables to store information/ documents digitally and will be easily and readily accessible on-demand within. "The traceability of all documents will be possible on a single click. HRMIS is a software-based arrangement that integrates different modules and processes to ensure the efficient management of existing tasks," he added.
