The Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat on Friday approved the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority Bill, 2019. Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati was mover of the bill. Muhammad Talha Mehmood chaired the meeting of the standing committee.
The committee held a detailed discussion on various sections of the bill. The committee was apprised that low-income persons would get benefit of the housing project. The housing units will be allotted to deserving persons on interest-free installments. Swati said that the government is serious to eliminate interest from economy of Pakistan.
