On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,437. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 2.994 billion and the number of lots traded was 3,904.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 778.996 million, followed by Platinum PKR 616.512 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 495.822 million, Crude Oil PKR 466.441 million, NSDQ100 PKR 232.938 million, Silver PKR 232.636 million, DJ PKR 83.913 million, Natural Gas PKR 51.580 million, SP500 PKR 21.005 million, Copper PKR 8.768 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 5.931 million. In agriculture commodities 3 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 13.022 million and 13 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 6.991 million were traded.
