Swabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced support to the candidate of Businessman Panel (BMP), Mian Anjum Nisar and his panel for the upcoming annual elections of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). The elections are scheduled on 27th.
This was announced during a reception organized in honour of the general secretary BMP and former president, FPCCI Haji Ghulam Ali and provincial chairman BMP, Mohammad Adnan Jalil at the residence of member executive committee (EC) FPCCI, Shiraz Bacha.
Beside, former vice presidents of FPCCI including Mohammad Adnan Jalil, Haji Fazal Elahi, Riaz Khattak, Zubair Ali, Sultan Mohammad Mohmand, Zafar Jalil, Malik Meher Elahi, Shakeel Saraf and Mohammad Shoaib Khan, the presidents of various chambers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, associations, executives and general body members attended the reception.
On this occasion, the president, Swabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zahid Shah along with other office bearers announced support for the BMP candidate and renowned businessman, Mian Anjum Nisar and his panel in the FPCCI polls 2020.
They said that Businessman Panel and its Leader Mian Anjum Nisar is fully capable to resolve the problems faced by the business community and bringing the country out of the economic situation.
Addressing the function, the general secretary BMP and former president FPCCI Haji Ghulam Ali said that the role of FPCCI had remained worst ineffective during the period of last four years that multiplied the woos of the business community of the country.
He said that the ruling group of the apex trade body was miserably failed in maintaining close coordination with the government and ample proof of it was the total ignoring of the FPCCI in the constitution of 21-member body of the business community.
Haji Ghulam Ali alleged that the ruling United Business Group (UBG) used the office of FPCCI as a tool for securing their personal interest and foreign trips. He said that despite collecting heavy fees from the chambers and associations, the ruling group had failed to deliver and provide any relief to the business community.
The former president FPCCI said that BMP in consultations with chambers and associations across the country has fielded a panel comprising experienced and renowned businessmen for the polls of the apex trade body.
He said that after winning the polls, the panel headed by Mian Anjum Nisar will leave no stone unturned in efforts for the resolution of the problems of business community and restoration of the lost prestige of the apex trade body and will play the role of bridge between the government and business community.
Haji Ghulam Ali said that the positive role of the government is must to arrest unemployment and bringing improvement in the economy and particularly taking immediate steps for the development of industries and trade, arresting of price hike and bringing down of the discount rate to single digits.
In the current situation and prevailing of mark-up rate, he said industrial development is impossible. He said that business community is in trouble due to higher discount rate. He said that the success of the business community is linked with the win of Mian Anjum Nisar.
He thanked the president, Swabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Zahid Shah and other office bearers for extending support to BMP and reiterated that they will never let them down and will come up to their expectations.
