Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Saturday inaugurated as many as 13 development programs in Taunsa Sharif completed at a cost of Rs 2.94 billion and also laid the foundation stone of a mega project.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that backward areas have also joined the journey of development today.

"In the previous era, the funds of Southern Punjab were spent on other projects", he said, adding: "We will bring prosperity in the undeveloped areas of the province.

Sardar Usman Buzdar laid the foundation stone of Government Technical Training Institute in Taunsa. He stated that the Institute will be constructed on a 100-kanal land at a cost of Rs 300 million whereas Rs 627.4 will be spent on beautification of the city.

The CM also inaugurated the 23-kilometer long road to Kharar-Buzdar at a cost of Rs26 million.

He inaugurated five internal roads in Taunsa city which were built at a cost of Rs11.62 million.

Earlier, talking to office-bearers and PTI workers, Sardar Usman assured to give weight age to their suggestions.

The CM directed the concerned authorities for the implementation on suggestions and recommendations of party workers. Party workers raised slogans in favour of Usman Buzdar.
