Tributes paid to M Rafi Butt

Tributes were paid to M Rafi Butt, a close associate of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and well-known enterprising industrialist and banker, as his 71st death anniversary was observed with due respect.

Jinnah Rafi Foundation arranged 'Quran Khawani' for the eternal peace of departed soul. Chairman Jinnah Rafi Foundation Imtiaz Rafi Butt, Raees Abbas Zaidi, Shahriar Rafi Butt and Shazal Rafi Butt were also present on the occasion.

M Rafi Butt was a trusted ally of Quaid-e-Azam and his close adviser on the economic front. He played a vital role in the success of the Pakistan Movement.

M Rafi Butt died at age of 39 on November 26, 1948, in an air crash on a flight from Karachi to Lahore.
