In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that the strike for remaining two days i.e. March 4 and 5 has been put off in the wake of assurance of the Sindh Transport Minister, Akhtar Hussain Jadoon, regarding the resolution of the genuine problems of the transporters.

It said that transporters would hold negotiations with the Minister on March 4.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the National Transport Ittehad, Sindh, Saleem Bangash, Raja Muhammad Rafiq, Nazeer Hussain Atamzai, Shahroom Khan and Ashraf Banglori have appealed to the transporters to ply their buses, mini-buses, coaches etc to play their vehicles as usual on March 4 and 5.

It may be recalled that the transporters had observed a strike on March 3 to press for the acceptance of their demands which included reduction in the price of diesel.

However, the taxis, rickshaws and private vehicles continued to be plied on the roads.
