On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,238. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.371 billion and the numbers of lots traded was 6,920.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.164 billion, followed by Crude Oil PKR 734.464 million, Platinum PKR 355.379 million, Silver PKR 266.591 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 233.924 million, DJ PKR 208.634 million, NSDQ100 PKR 194.544 million, Natural Gas PKR 86.931 million, Palladium PKR 53.453 million, SP500 PKR 32.020 million, Copper PKR 24.277 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 17.685 million.
In agriculture commodities 8 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 3.968 million were traded.
