PM directs officials to revive industrial sector
- Matters pertaining to economic reforms were discussed in detail.

(Karachi) Prime Minister Imran has issued instructions to the officials concerned to complete the required administrative reforms and laws within 60 days to rehabilitate the struggling units by devising comprehensive plan.
He expressed these views during a meeting of his economic team in Islamabad on Thursday. During the meeting, matters pertaining to economic reforms were discussed in detail.
The participants apprised the PM that rehabilitation of the targeted 687 units could be carried out with the help of a public-private partnership formula.
The meeting participants were told that the SMEs sector was facing various challenges, including a lack of investment, skilled labour, laws etc.
The prime minister directed the officials to take help from the private sector for the development of the SMEs sector. He also issued directions for the ease of doing business in the country and prioritising local small units.
The PM said that tax incentives will be offered to relevant industries to facilitate the construction sector. He directed the economic adviser to devise a strategy in coordination with the FBR, Naya Pakistan Housing Authority and the provincial governments in this regard and submit the report by next week.
