LONDON: European stock markets ended lower on Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares closing down 0.97 percent at 5,935.76 points.
In Paris, the CAC 40 lost 1.05 percent to 4,067.15 points while in Frankfurt the DAX fnished 0.68 percent lower at 7,223.3 points.
