HAMBURG: Germany's 2012 wheat crop of all types will rise 6.3 percent on the year to 24.2 million tonnes from 22.7 million tonnes in 2011, the German Farm Cooperatives Association said on Thursday in its first harvest forecast.
Germany's 2012 winter rapeseed crop will to rise 25.6 percent to 4.8 million tonnes from 3.8 million tonnes in 2011, the cooperatives forecast.
Germany's 2011 wheat and rapeseed crops had both suffered the double glow of a spring time drought and repeated harvest time rain.
