Recent rains have salutary impact on Rabi crops

FAISALABAD: The wave of recent rains and snowfall in the country especially in Punjab has a salutary impact on all Rabi crops.

Weather experts told APP here on Sunday that the recent rains brought pleasant and smiles on faces of growers and the wheat crop would have much more benefit from these rains which would help in enhancing agricultural yield.

They told that snowfall would play a pivotal role in increasing water level in water reservoirs while fruit trees especially apple would get benefit from the snowfall. The snowfall would help overcome water shortage in April, May and June, they added.

It is up to, now, water experts to make effective planning for better utilization of availability of the extra ordinary water resources for augmenting the electricity and reducing the burden of load shedding in the country, they asserted.
