FM summons emergency meeting after Indian Air Force's violation of LoC
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi summoned an emergency meeting on Tuesday after the Indian Air Force's violation of Line of Control (LoC).
This emergency meeting has been summoned after the Indian Air Force violated the LoC, but this intrusion from the Muzaffarabad sector was immediately foiled by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). The meeting to be held today, will be attended by former secretaries and senior ambassadors, local media reported.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DGISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on his official Twitter account had announced, "Indian Air Force violated Line of Control. Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian aircrafts gone back. Details to follow."
Afterwards the DG ISPR shared because of the timely and effective response from PAF, Indian Air Force released payload in haste 'while escaping which fell near Balakot'. He added that there were no casualties or damage.
