Terming the federal budget 2019-20 as public friendly, Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar extended congratulations to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azher and their team for presenting a balanced budget in the difficult circumstances.
In his reaction, the Punjab CM said the government has announced important steps for economic self-reliance and rectified past mistakes by setting priorities in the budget. "Pakistan will become self-reliant due to the steps announced in the budget and no better budget could be presented in the prevalent circumstances," he said, adding: "The rich have been burdened and the common man has been given facilities and relief."
The CM said that the upcoming budget depicts public expectations and no burden has been put on poor and low-income families. The budget will open the new avenues of development and it will also herald economic development in the country, he added.
